Is This the CES 2010 Big Announcement?

It Is Certainly Looking That Way…
Apparently it is, or at least that what sources are speculating, anyway. Looking at the Boy Genius Report screenshot, I would have to agree as well. Ont eh shot, there is an entry for “LG LS680 Android Handset Kit” and then “$1.00″ to the right… So, there you have it, a brand new Droid on the market… But then again, something like that really isn’t big news anymore. With all of the new releases of Android flavored smartphones, I have the feeling people are going to become bored with them real soon.

What Makes This One Special?
Well, lets see… the only thing with this one, is that the BGR recently reported, along with all the other usual suspects that Sprint, Microsoft and LG were going to do something big. No, not big, but absolutely huge. You see, rumor has it that Microsoft is about to introduce a “WinMo WiMax” phone at this event.

It was originally speculated that Sprint would be releasing the first WinMo WiMax phone and it would be manufactured by LG. But now with this recent discovery of an Android based LG smartphone, those thoughts are now being questioned. So what could the three companies be up to?

And the Verdict Is
Well, it is really hard to say right now. But, if you want me honest opinion, I think it would be in the est interest of all parties involved to release two of them-one for WinMo and one for Android. But, of course that would never happen. SO the next best thing? An LG Phone with Android-that is a given, but how to use WinMo and WiMax together? Well, to be honest, the Android hardware would make a great base for WinMo, make it a bit snappier anyway. Windows anything tends to eat up system resources-and the same can be said about the mobile OS too, or so I have been told.

But I guess we’ll just have to wait and see when it finally comes time to unleash what ever it is they are hiding from us…
